What Can I Expect When I Order ?
When your free trial period has ended, you must purchase a Registration Key in order to continue playing. This is a one time purchase that allows you to play the Macintosh version of Solitaire City for as long as you like and to download unlimited updates for free in the future. You can use your credit card to purchase from our partners, BMT Micro using a secure connection that will encrypt the information sent between your computer and the on-line store, keeping your credit card details completely secret and safe. You may charge your card in US Dollars, UK Pounds Sterling or Euros and BMT Micro now accepts PayPal as well as all major credit cards. On purchasing, you will be e-mailed a link within minutes that allows you to download a small (64 KB) Registration Key file that has been personalized with your name, company name and a unique serial number. To install your Registration Key, simple select Import Registration Key ... from the Solitaire City menu and then Browse to your Registration Key file that you saved to your computer. Once your Registration Key has successfully been imported, the Trial Version will automatically unlock. Your information is displayed on your PC's screen when you launch Solitaire City to show who owns the registered copy. The Registration Key isn't locked to your computer so you may install Solitaire City on as many computers as you personally own without having to buy additional Keys. You should keep a backup of your Registration Key on your computer and preferably on some form of removable media such as a floppy disk, memory card or CDR in case you have to re-install in the future. When upgrades are released, you simply download a new Trial Version and your Registration Key will unlock it automatically.
When you purchase your Registration Key, you will be taken to an order page on BMT Micro's secure server Secure Connection. This secure connection will encrypt all information sent between your computer and BMT Micro's server, ensuring that your credit card and personal details are kept secret and perfectly safe.
You will then be asked to fill in your credit card's billing address and your e-mail address where your Registration Key's download link will be sent. You'll also need to enter two pieces of information that will personalize your Registration Key to show who the registered copy belongs to.

I've Ordered On-line But My Download Link Hasn't Arrived Yet.
Usually, on-line orders are processed within a few minutes and you should receive a confirmation e-mail containing a download link to the Registered Version within minutes of your credit card being approved. Please be aware that e-mail is not always as reliable as we'd like and sometimes don't reach the recipient, or can be mistakenly identified as Spam and either deleted without you knowing, or placed in a Spam folder. If you have a Spam filter installed on your computer and haven't received your confirmation e-mail then take a look in your Spam folder and see if it's accidentally ended up in there. The subject of the e-mail will be "Solitaire City for Macintosh Product Information".
If you still haven't received your download link within 48 hours of placing your order them please e-mail BMT Micro's customer support at orders@bmtmicro.com.

The Link In My Order Confirmation E-Mail Isn't Working
Some e-mail programs may wrap a long web-link onto two lines and only make the first half of the link clickable. For example, your correct download link might be something like this:
https://secure.bmtmicro.com/servlets/RIP.FileDownload?PRODUCTID=13370008&PASSWORD=1234567890
but your e-mail program may wrap this link onto two lines like this:
https://secure.bmtmicro.com/servlets/RIP.FileDownload?PROD
UCTID=13370008&PASSWORD=1234567890
In a situation like this, you need to copy and paste each piece of the link from your confirmation e-mail into your web browser's Address bar, joining the two back together by hand.

I've Just Bought The Game On-Line. What Now ? How do I install it ?
The registration process through BMT Micro is conveniently automated. Once you have submitted your order through BMT Micro's secure servers, you should receive a confirmation e-mail with a Subject line of "BMT Micro Order Received" as your credit card information goes through an approval process before being billed.
Once your credit card has been approved, you will receive another e-mail containing download instructions for your Registration Key. The Subject line will read "Solitaire City for Macintosh Product Information". If you don't receive this e-mail and you have a Spam filter installed on your e-mail reader then take a look in your Spam or Junk mail folder to see if it's accidentally ended up in there. If you still haven't received your Registration Key within 5 hours of placing your order then please e-mail BMT Micro's customer support at orders@bmtmicro.com.
Follow the Registration Key download instructions in your e-mail. Your download link should be of the form:
http://www.solitairecity.com/cgi-bin/DL.cgi?1234-5678-8765-4321
however, some e-mail programs may wrap a long web-link onto two lines and only make the first half of the link clickable, something like this:
http://www.solitairecity.com/cgi-bin/DL.cgi?1234-5678-87
65-4321
In a situation like this, you need to copy and paste each piece of the link from your confirmation e-mail into your web browser's Address bar, joining the two back together by hand.
Once you have clicked on your download link, Save the SolCity_Mac.key file to your computer when prompted to do so by your web browser. This is your Registration Key that will unlock your Trial Versions of Solitaire City for Macintosh. Save the file to a location on your computer's hard drive that you will remember.
Start the Solitaire City Trial Version game on your computer and then select Import Registration Key ... from the Solitaire City menu and then Browse to your Registration Key file that you saved to your computer. Once your Registration Key has successfully been imported, the Trial Version will automatically unlock.
It is highly recommended that you make a backup of your SolCity_Mac.key file to a floppy disk, memory card or other removable media. Your download link will expire in 30 days so please don't simply keep a copy of the link from your confirmation e-mail; you need to actually download the file and make a backup of it.

I'm running macOS Sierra or High Sierra and when try to open Solitaire City, I get the message: "'Solitaire City' is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash."
It seems that with every new release of Apple's operating system, they make it harder and harder for users to open software created by third party developers that Apple doesn't directly profit from. In macOS Sierra, Apple removed the ability to easily allow you to open third party Apps that hadn't been signed by Apple. There is a way around this though:
Click on the Launchpad icon and type Terminal into the Search box.
Type sudo spctl --master-disable into the console window and then enter your computer's password when prompted to. This disable's Apple's annoying Gatekeeper security.
Double click on the Solitaire City icon again to open it.
Type sudo spctl --master-enable into the console window to turn Gatekeeper back on. As long as you've opened Solitaire City successfully between disabling Gatekeeper and enabling it again, then the security for the Solitaire City App will have been overridden and you should be able to open it without any problems in the future.

I'm running OS X Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite or El Capitan and when I try to open Solitaire City, I get the message: "'Solitaire City.app' is damaged and can't be opened."
With Mountain Lion, Apple introduced a new security measure called Gatekeeper which prevents unsigned third party Apps from running. To turn this feature off and revert to the same security level that you enjoyed in earlier versions of OS X, do the following:
Click on the Apple icon in the top left hand corner of your screen and then select "System Preferences..."
Click on the "Security & Prefrences" icon.
From the "General" tab, click on the Lock icon in the bottom left to allow changes.
Check the "Anywhere" radio button under "Allow applications downloaded from:"
Apple makes it sound like your computer might be abducted by aliens if you do this, but it won't be any less secure than the version of OS X before Mountain Lion.

I've Already Paid For The Game And A New Version Has Been Released. How Do I Upgrade ?.
To upgrade to the latest Registered Version of Solitaire City, simply download the latest Trial Version from here and copy it over your existing copy. As long as you've already imported your Registration Key then you don't need to do anything else and the Trial Version will say it's registered automatically.

The Game No Longer Displays The Score or Time While I'm Playing.
Click on the Options menu and un-check the Granny Mode setting which is a version for old wrinklies who run the risk of having a coronary if they play a stressful timed game for points. I'm all heart (no pun intended !)
